Can’t Read Music?

The Story
I began writing Secrets of the 6 Stroke Roll last summer for my drum student, Clay.
Clay is a college professor and avid drummer who plays in several bands. He decided to devote the summer to taking lessons with me, and he specifically requested to study the 6 Stroke Roll. As a drum teacher, I love writing lesson material to help my students understand new concepts.
What started out as a few simple exercises quickly grew into more and more pages. As I continued to write new material for Clay’s lessons each week, I realized there was potential to explore this idea further, and to eventually publish a book.
I kept working on the material whenever I had time between my lessons and other life responsibilities, and now I am super excited to present the material in its completed form.
What excites me most about the book is that the concept is simple. Everything is built from the basic 6 Stroke Roll. If you take your time and really master the foundational 15 exercises, you will unlock the door to innumerable rhythmic combinations.
